Given the popularity of high resolution digital, TFT and widescreen monitors over the creaky old 800x600 CRT displays of yester-year, is there any point restricting your website design to display correctly on older monitor sizes? Well that is one of those often asked and simple questions that never seems to get a simple answer.

(D)HTML and CSS Tips : Valid CSS with Lightbox - hack

Ok so its not a complete solution, but there is a partial answer to making the lightbox CSS validate up to CSS2.1 standards via the W3C CSS Validator. Put simply, its an IE 5 and 6 hack that isolates the CSS required to make lightbox work in the old Internet Explorer browsers.

I've recently run into a small problem getting my CSS to validate to W3C standards when using lightbox on image galleries.

I always try to write html and css so that it validates on the W3C checker, (W3C html validator).
